"Normie's Place"

A friend of mine from high school named Tom Ernst had this staircase in his parent's house. A cat named Normie lived in the house (there were a lot of cats in that house, as I recall), and this turn of the stairs was his favorite place to take a nap. This was a preliminary sketch for an acrylic polymer painting done on a plywood panel, which was lost when my parent's house burned down in 2001.
