12/19/04 - This is the third stage of the cover painting for "The Wicked" by J. Newman

Using water-thinned, transparent washes of Hansa Yellow, Thalo Blue and Naphthol Red over the ink drawing, I established value and hue in this underpainting. The contrast between the fire-washed statue and the silhouetted Moloch will be one of the primary visual goals of this piece.
